About the Projects
The SAFeCRAFT and LH2CRAFT projects share a common vision: supporting the transition toward zero-emission maritime transport, while addressing different technological and operational challenges in adopting sustainable fuels.
SAFeCRAFT focuses on Sustainable Alternative Fuels (SAFs) such as LHโ, CGHโ, NHโ, and LOHC, tackling their safety and operational challenges to advance beyond the current state of the art.
LH2CRAFT advances the safe storage, handling, and integration of liquid hydrogen (LHโ) as a marine fuel, developing innovative containment and insulation solutions to enable hydrogen-powered vessels.
Together, these two projects are driving the safe and sustainable adoption of alternative marine fuels across Europeโs maritime sector.
