SEASTARS has significantly strengthened its European outreach and stakeholder engagement through its participation in four major international maritime and transport events: Europort Rotterdam, Euromaritime Marseille, Transport Research Arena (TRA) Budapest, and Posidonia Athens.
Through exhibitions, panel discussions, networking activities and stakeholder exchanges, the project showcased its vision for a competitive, climate-neutral and sustainable maritime sector while fostering collaboration among industry, research and policy stakeholders across Europe.
EUROPORT ROTTERDAM, 4-7 November 2025
At Europort Rotterdam 2025, SEASTARS presented its progress, ambitions and innovative modular methodologies to a broad international audience of maritime stakeholders. As one of the industry’s leading exhibitions, Europort provided an excellent opportunity to highlight the project’s contribution to maritime innovation, engage with industry representatives and strengthen awareness of its objectives.
The exhibition attracted more than 23,000 professionals from 86 countries and 1,100 exhibitors, offering a valuable platform for dialogue with shipbuilders, operators, technology developers and researchers. These interactions helped expand the project’s network and reinforce collaboration across the maritime innovation ecosystem.
EUROMARITIME MARSEILLE, 3-5 February 2026
SEASTARS continued its dissemination efforts at Euromaritime 2026, one of Europe’s leading business platforms for the maritime and river economy. The event brought together key representatives from industry, research institutions, policy organisations and port authorities, creating an ideal environment to present project achievements and exchange perspectives on the future of sustainable maritime transport.
Participating through the HEMEXPO booth, SEASTARS engaged with stakeholders from across the European maritime community, exploring opportunities for cooperation and strengthening synergies with other innovation initiatives. The event welcomed 330 exhibitors and nearly 5,800 visitors from 70 countries.
TRANSPORT RESEARCH ARENA (TRA) BUDAPEST, 18-21 May 2026
At TRA Budapest 2026, SEASTARS showcased its progress to a diverse audience representing the wider European transport sector. Participating within the Waterborne TP booth alongside eleven EU-funded maritime projects, including its sister projects EcoShipYard, SAFECraft and FLEETfor55, SEASTARS demonstrated the strong collaborative spirit that drives maritime innovation across Europe.
With more than 3,000 participants, TRA provided an important platform to highlight how maritime innovation contributes to broader European sustainability, mobility and decarbonisation objectives.
POSIDONIA ATHENS, 1-5 June 2026
SEASTARS’ participation at Posidonia Athens 2026 marked a major milestone in the project’s dissemination activities. As one of the world’s premier
shipping exhibitions, Posidonia offered an exceptional opportunity to engage directly with the international maritime and shipbuilding community.
The 2026 edition was the largest in Posidonia’s history, attracting more than 35,000 visitors, over 2,200 exhibitors and in excess of 40,000 maritime professionals from around the world.
A particular highlight of SEASTARS’ presence was its interactive LEGO exhibit, which attracted significant visitor interest and provided an engaging way to communicate the project’s vision, technological ambitions and innovation-driven approach.
During the exhibition, SEASTARS and its sister project FLEETfor55 co-organised an Open Day featuring a panel discussion on maritime innovation and sustainability. The session brought together project partners and industry representatives to discuss progress, share experiences and explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the sector’s future.
Posidonia also provided the setting for the recording of testimonials for SEASTARS’ third project video, with partners and stakeholders sharing their perspectives on the project’s achievements, impact and future outlook.
