SEASTARS Concludes a Successful Participation at Posidonia 2026

The SEASTARS project successfully participated in Posidonia 2026, one of the most important international maritime exhibitions, providing a valuable opportunity to engage with industry stakeholders, researchers, policymakers, and maritime professionals from around the world.

Throughout the exhibition, SEASTARS showcased its work on innovative solutions supporting the decarbonisation of the maritime sector, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)-driven vessel design methodologies, Digital Twin technologies, retrofit and newbuild decarbonisation pathways, and innovative concepts for inland, short-sea, and deep-sea shipping.

Hosted within the HEMEXPO booth, the project welcomed numerous visitors and facilitated discussions on the challenges and opportunities associated with the transition towards zero-emission shipping. The exhibition provided an excellent platform for exchanging knowledge, strengthening collaborations, and raising awareness of SEASTARS’ objectives and expected impacts.

A key highlight of the week was the joint SEASTARS & FLEETfor55 Open Day, which brought together maritime experts, industry representatives, researchers, and EU-funded projects to discuss innovative vessel concepts and practical pathways towards maritime decarbonisation. The event encouraged valuable dialogue and reinforced the importance of collaboration in achieving a more sustainable maritime future.

SEASTARS would like to thank everyone who visited the project’s exhibition corner, attended the Open Day, and contributed to the discussions throughout Posidonia 2026.

The project looks forward to building on the connections established during the exhibition and continuing its work towards delivering practical and scalable solutions for a greener and more efficient maritime sector.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Innovation Actions programme under Grant Agreement No. 101192901.
