SEASTARS Presented at the World Sustainable Marine Fuels Forum 2026

On 28 May 2026, SEASTARS was presented at the World Sustainable Marine Fuels Forum in Amsterdam, contributing to discussions on the future of sustainable marine fuels and the decarbonisation of the maritime sector.

The presentation highlighted the project’s approach to supporting the transition towards greener shipping through modular vessel design, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)-driven digital tools, and practical retrofit and newbuild pathways for reducing emissions across different shipping segments.

The forum provided an important opportunity to engage with industry stakeholders, researchers, and maritime fuel experts, while showcasing SEASTARS’ contribution to the development of innovative and scalable solutions for sustainable waterborne transport.

SEASTARS would like to thank the team from MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands) for representing the project and contributing to discussions on the future of maritime decarbonisation.

Participation in events such as the World Sustainable Marine Fuels Forum strengthens SEASTARS’ engagement with the wider maritime innovation ecosystem and supports knowledge exchange on the technologies and strategies required to achieve climate-neutral shipping.
